HQA: What are some myths around leadership and/or talent development in Asia?

Peter Cappelli: The first is fundamental attribution error, which is a tendency to blame the people rather than the systems when something is wrong. For example, sometimes a leader will say “We just don’t have the right people here to enter the market in China.” Now, do we really know it’s because of the people?
